The Bethany Way of Life

All of Bethany Communities offer on-site registered nurses, health clinics, fitness activities, and exercise programs. Each site also has a beauty salon and library. Housekeepers are available to help you keep your home clean and comfortable.

Though you can walk or take public transportation downtown, our air-conditioned Bethany bus with a lift makes weekly scheduled trips to local shopping areas.

If you desire more help, a certified personal care aid will help make sure your personal care needs are met.

Our kitchen prepares home-style meals from a menu designed by a licensed dietician. You will find the dining room at Merrivista inviting and a source of laughter and friendship.  For those living in our other Communities, meals can be delivered hot to your door or enjoyed in common areas.

At Bethany Communities we encourage residents to engage with one another to build friendships and community.  Coordinated activities and excursions are routinely scheduled by our staff and there are plenty of opportunities for residents to volunteer through Resident Councils or by teaching their hobbies to others.  Day trips throughout New England include:

  • Visits to historic sites

  • Beach trips

  • Plays, live music, and art museums

  • Lunch outings throughout the week

Bethany was the first senior housing community to contract for mental health services and scheduled spiritual services are also provided. Sarah’s Place Adult Day Health is located on-site and provides a safe, nurturing environment that allows participants to obtain the daily support they require while remaining in their own homes.
